Maggie grew up in Richardson, Texas. After earning a degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington, she married a U.S. Marine and began a life of adventure.
She and her husband have homeschooled their three children for the last nineteen years. They have two boys that are in college and a daughter in high school. Maggie loves education and wants every student to experience the opportunities that learning has to offer.
Maggie heard about the Davis Program when she was living in Japan. Two years later her son completed the program after their family moved to Germany. His results were amazing. It wasn't just that he was able to read, write, do math, and create order in his life. He got that "sparkle" back in his eye - the one that had left when he had started to believe that he couldn't learn. He was a "learner" again.
As a Davis facilitator, Maggie has seen many similar transformations. Her goal is to help students to experience the joy of certainty in their learning.
Maggie continues to be an advocate for education in the North Texas area. She provides dyslexia programs in her Garland office, and she is willing to travel as needed.
