I recommend Dyslexia Learning because of the benefits I've seen in myself from just a few hours of working with Maggie; she taught me some tools to use when facing testing situations. Maggie's work is not just for children, and not just for dyslexia and reading challenges; I am a 56-year old woman who has returned to college and have had to face by life-long math phobia in order to move toward my goal of a bachelor's degree in neuroscience.   - Lori

Dear Maggie,

Thank you so much for working with J all last week.  I am so proud of him for working so hard.  He loved it!  Thank you for cheering him on and coaching him.  He has a newly found confidence.

We have tried so many things in the past which have not given him solutions to help him use his ADHD and dyslexia to his advantage in order to make learning easier. I am astounded at the results I see in him already after spending one week working with you.  He has been given tools to help him manage his emotions, which he battles because he has believed the lie that "he is stupid." Managing his own anxiety as he sits down to study is the first step to success - to making his learning easier for him.  Moreover, he exudes hope.  What an answer to prayer! He feels that he has been given tools to help him overcome his dyslexia AND he has accepted the truth that his way of seeing the world is truly a gift and an asset to him.  J also has come to the realization that learning and education is his for the taking.  He can choose to work with the tools he has been given through the Davis Dyslexia program in order to help him grow in his studies.  He is eager to get started. And I am eager to learn from him, too.

Thank you so much for giving us a real solution!  I highly recommend that any parent or child who struggles with ADD, ADHD, or Dyslexia sign up for your program immediately.

Gratefully,
Brittany

Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.  I'm just seeing the fruit of what you had taught him this summer and us doing the words here at home.  It's really tear jerking.  It's exciting to watch him love this and grow.  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.  ~ Student's mom

Our 12 year old son was determined to find a job just working with his hands because he had lost hope of using his mind. After three phonics programs, he just enjoyed reading books with pictures on every page. Reading was too hard. He was defeated.

Then we spent a week with Maggie Steele, Dyslexia is a Gift, my son not only found hope, but he discovered his key to reading. His world opened up. On his 13th birthday he told me, "Mom, I want to do something with my education." Nothing can stop him now!

Thank you, Maggie! - Bonnie

I’m a mom of two boys with learning disabilities. My boys are in 2nd and 3rd grade. I was told that my boys were reading below their grade level. I could only do so much for them on my own. I didn’t like seeing my boys struggle. Even with all this support, I needed to find a solution outside of the school. I couldn’t wait for all the testing to be completed and not all school's resources/programs were for my boys. I found Maggie after reading the book, The Gift of Dyslexia by Ronald Davis. I immediately connected with Maggie and her story after our first phone conversation. My boys also had an immediate connection to Maggie. She has a sincere and genuine approach to helping people discover their strengths and discover their best way to learn. She is incredibly patient! After my boys went through her program, both have made great improvements. My oldest just had an assessment where he has increased two reading levels. His teachers have been impressed with his progress and his new found confidence. His confidence has increased so much, he was recently the mystery reader in his brother's classroom where he had to read a book for the entire class! My youngest struggled with his hand writing to the point where I wasn’t able to read most of what he would write. I couldn't read his school work or the sweet notes he would leave for me. As a second grader, most of his work is displayed around the classroom and can be pretty embarrassing. His handwriting has improved and I can now read his writing! He is proud to display his work around the classroom and frequently has his teacher take pictures to send to me to show his improvement. I could not have given my boys what the needed without Maggie’s support. I can’t recommend not just the program but specifically Maggie enough! She understands the struggle and wants to set you up for success.  - Samantha S.

Do you remember working with my daughter last summer?  It's been a very eventful year since her week-long session with you. I'm grateful to you for providing her with understanding and confidence that week. She actually wrote an essay several weeks after your session and highlighted the advantages of having dyslexia -- it was a real turning point! - Parent
